Kyla Karten

Kyla Karten is the Vice President of Site Readiness at Intersect Illinois. In this role, Kyla leads strategic initiatives to identify, assess, and prepare sites for potential business relocation and expansion across the state.

Before joining Intersect, Kyla worked as a civil designer and project manager at a civil engineering firm. With over eight years of experience in land development projects of varying scope, Kyla brings strong technical engineering skills and a proven track record in managing large-scale projects. Kyla’s expertise includes site evaluation, infrastructure planning, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Kyla holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Born and raised in upstate New York and having spent over a decade on the West Coast, Kyla now resides in Chicago.
