Eric Perreault is Vice President for Research and Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University. He has a joint appointment at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. His research addresses the neural and biomechanical factors involved in the control of multi-joint movement and posture and how they are modified following neuromotor pathologies.

Eric has served as Chair of Biomedical Engineering and Associate Dean for Research in Engineering at Northwestern. He is a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, and was recently Chair of the National Advisory Board on Medical Rehabilitation Research, and President of the International Society for Electrophysiology and Kinesiology.
