Carmen Rossi was born and raised in Frankfort, Illinois.  Mr. Rossi received his B.S. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in English and Political Science. He stayed at U of I for his Master’s Degree. Carmen completed his academic career at Northern Illinois University, where he received his Juris Doctorate, and currently practices commercial law, focusing on contracts and appellate court drafting.

Mr. Rossi is also a restauranteur and entrepreneur.  He proudly introduced “8”, a Hospitality Company, in 2015.  The company manages twelve restaurants and employs over 400 individuals in the Chicagoland area.  In addition, Carmen serves as a Commissioner on the City of Chicago Landmark Commission, serves as a board member to the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce PAC and also a board member and officer of the Illinois Restaurant Association.

Carmen, is committed to giving back to the community. In 2014, he founded Chicago Knight Life.  The organization partners with his restaurants to provide meals and service to numerous charities across the City of Chicago.  Some of the charities include Ronald McDonald House, Little Black Pearl, Sarah’s Circle, and Asian Youth Services. The employees of “8,” A Hospitality Company, are encouraged to volunteer and visit the charities to serve food and provide companionship. 

Mr. Rossi has had the privilege to interact and work with many people.  He believes that any marginal success he has experienced is due to his dynamic network and persistent work ethic. “My involvement in academic, charitable, community and professional endeavors has been quite diversified as as a result, I stand in a stronger position to make a difference in the greater Chicagoland Community.”
